Customer Service Representative

BRT Extrusions is a leading National Aluminum Extrusion manufacturing company located in Niles, Ohio. We are looking for a full-time experience Customer Service Representative for our expanding Customer Service Department. If you are dynamic and motivated, read on!

This is a non-exempt position and eligible for Overtime.

The wage will competitive based on experience up to $22.00/hour

Customer Service Representative

A person in this role will enter orders and interface with customers with guidance from the Inside Sales Manager. This person will follow up and offer support to answer questions and/or concerns and work closely with sales to effectively streamline the process and support the customer through the close of the order and beyond. The schedule is generally a Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm schedule, but there are times when OT will be required based on business need.

Requirements to be successful as a Customer Service Representative:

  • 2 years’ experience in a business-to-business Customer Service experience is required
  • Telephone sales/customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to enter data efficiently and correctly and quickly
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel is a must
  • Personal motivation and drive to achieve short- and long-term business and career goals/objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective relationship building skills required
  • Ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and relate well to a diverse group of customers (primarily over the phone)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to support both internal and external customers pleasantly and efficiently
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus and we will train on specifics of aluminum extrusions
  • Order entry/data entry experience us required.

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Relationship building with customers and purchasing agents
  • Handle customer complaint/challenges quickly and efficiently and with precision
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers for upsells
  • Meet and exceed established goals and objectives
  • Answer questions pertaining to our products
  • Ensure that data is entered correctly
  • Any other administrative duties as assigned

Physical requirements:

An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn frequently. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them when in the plant. An individual in this role must move 5lbs frequently and up to 10lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about an office setting as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing. This position will require frequent use of office equipment: primarily phone, fax, computer and all other office equipment as part of the essential functions of the role.
